Sipsmith Sipper Club - Gin tour and tasting evening
Updated: Oct 6, 2020
Tucked away down a leafy residential street in Chiswick, you will find a disused garage that now houses Sipsmith Distillery. Entering through a steel door we were welcomed by Hollie, Tim and Chris the hosts of The Sipper Club - an evening of tasting gin and fine dining.
With a G&T in hand perched at the large bar, Tim one of the distillers talked us through the intriguing history of gin and how the brand has developed over the last 10 years.
We were introduced to the three stunning copper ladies, Prudence, Patience and Constance whilst sampling the delicious London Dry and Lemon drizzle gin.
Next up was a taster of their unique one off creations - this particular tipple was made from Golden Syrup - ginius - I want a bottle!
Once the tour had finished, we were whisked away to Charlotte’s Bistro for a delicious gin inspired three course supper. For starters, we devoured the gin cured salmon with rocket and grapefruit which was absolutely divine. For the main, beautifully tender roasted lamb breast with bacon and hips cabbage, pea and mint. For pudding, no other than a mouthwatering slice of Sipsmith Lemon Drizzle tart with a side of creme fraiche. If that wasn’t enough we then tucked into a cheese board!
To end the night we walked away with a bottle of gin and a very satisfied tummy. A absolutely fabulous experience for the discerning gin lover!
